Marion Council has reopened 2kms of the Coastal Walkway between Marino and Hallett Cove Conservation Park. A 500 metre section between Kurnabinna and Grey Road gullies, Hallett Cove remains closed. A diversion is in place around the gullies. This section is not in the Hallett Cove Conservation Park, the boardwalk remains open to park visitors.

This section of coastline is rocky and rugged with an interesting and unique geological history. However, the highlight of the walk had to be seeing a Nankeen (Australian) Kestrel flying overhead. We saw the Kestrel a number of times hovering over the scrub hoping to spot a meal. of the trail where we enjoyed lunch at the Hallett Cove Cafe.
