(February 20, 2019, 11:48 pm)Dr Lovemore is the most thorough and best Dr I've ever had. Yes you can arrive on time and find yourself waiting way past your appointment time but that's pretty standard for any Drs practice. I would rather wait so I can see the best Dr.

(January 26, 2019, 7:07 am)Well, getting old????is not funny if you ask me hey...???????? So here I am 30+++=??? Hahaha! ???? I won't tell you my age ????????... If you are curious, you need to guess it?! OK. I am a Polish ????????????????????????????????????/Aussie ???????????????????????????????? 'vintage' lady????????, born in the late 1950's (of course in Poland ???????? ), who immigrated to Aussie -Land ???????????? in 1988. Yes, I've been living in Mackay township for nearly 30 years now & I like it ????... But, as I said earlier I don't like that I am getting bloody old?! Gross!???????????????? Anyway, after a few days with painful & swollen knee, I finally gave up with my stubbornness????. I went to see my GP dr. Lovemore Ncomanzi, but cause he wasn't avail, so I saw his lovely wife dr. Varai-Makura, at 'Plaza Medical Mackay, near Mater Hospital. She was really concerned abt my 'poor', swollen knee. After examination, she sent me to Mky Radiology for an ultrasound. She, as well myself we're fearing the worst- a bloody blood cloth?! ???????? ????Thank God it wasn't! I have a fluid in my knee cup that I believe is caused by me standing for hrs & watering my garden, or else ?????! Well, I'll see dr. Varai again on Thur. & then we'll go from there...I don't know what treatment I'll need, but I am in a good spirits hey ????. I've been a patient of both dr. Lovemore & dr. Varai for years now. What I can say is that they're both very caring, understanding & professional. Even though they're other patients waiting, both lovely doctors will listen, talk to you, exemine you for as long as i'ts needed. They're very humble, patient, understanding & polite! ????. I highly recommend them to everyone.Their Surgery also employs other professional doctors, & well mannered Staff, who knows their jobs very well. If it's an emergency you will be seen immediately. Why I also like 'Plaza Medical Mackay' & I don't mind to drive there from East Mky, cause...I don't wait much at all to see a doctor. It's a very well run Surgery in Mackay. Thumbs up!????????????From Grazia58Aus P.S. An update re my left knee diagnosis & treatment. After all possible x- rays, pathology tests were done, I was told that I have 'pseudo gout' in my left knee. I was injected into with cortisone steroid grrr...???????????? & advised how to treat it, etc. Atm, I am OK. No pain & I can walk & do other things. This 'pseudo gout' in my left knee's the sign that I am getting bloody old, and to be ready for some other arthritic changes in my bones later on????? Anyway, I have no other choice but accept it. I don't take any painkillers, only panadol- osteo if necessary. Cheers.

(October 23, 2018, 8:01 am)Have been going to this practice for around 18 months and have always received professional service and good advice. When I had an emergency cut hand, I was treated immediately without an appointment or any notice. For that reason, I don't mind that I may have to wait for my scheduled appointments sometimes, as clearly these people triage their patients and some need to be seen sooner than others for good medical reasons. Their admin systems are great too - arrive yourself and confirm your details on a touch screen. Good size waiting area - you don't feel jammed in and always an interesting magazine to read while you wait. This team is doing a great job.
