With its large, grassy river flats shaded by casuarinas and protected by a rocky cliff, Silent Creek campground is popular with groups, especially 4WD clubs. Accessible only with a 4WD vehicle, it's a great spot from where to explore the park's fire trails that traverse eucalypt forests. Head north and you can give it some along the ridges.

Set on shady, grassed river flats, the 4WD-only Silent Creek campground is a perfect spot for group holidays, offering 4WD touring, bushwalking and swimming. The Beach, near Oberon, is a secluded place to camp by the Abercrombie River. Accessible only by 4WD, it's perfect for touring, swimming and relaxing.
