Elliot Falls Beach. Elliot Falls Beach is a sandy granite beach at the base of small waterfalls. Swimming at the base of the falls is a nice way to spend a hot afternoon. The swimming area is about 200m downstream below the dam. The beach access point is located at the far end of Elliot Falls Road where there is a parking lot.
To get to the falls, take Hwy 35 north to Norland. Turn right 2.6 km past Norland onto Elliot Falls Road. At the end of this road is a parking lot. Walk over the dam and turn right. "Elliot Falls is named after my great aunt's husband, who had the cabin there for many years. Bob Elliot had 'Elliot's Farm', and the home had also been known as "Zimmies" in later years prior to being torn down by the park service. The house sat right over the creek (you could see the creek through the floorboards in the bathroom).
