A rural bushland remnant of 27 hectares of rain forest containing a variety of natural habitats and rich in local flora and fauna. A visit to Endeavour Fern Gully is to experience the original natural environment of the Mornington Peninsula. Of the 27 hectare property, 17.5 hectares are of rain forest, a meandering creek and lush fern gully.
Endeavour Fern Gully is an ecological gem. It is part of a 27 hectare property, of which 17.5 hectares of natural indigenous bushland, including an outstanding example of a lush fern gully.
Endeavour Fern Gully is one of the few remnants of native bush remaining on the peninsula open to the public everyday for all to enjoy. Over the past 12 years volunteers have worked to make it accessible, to re-vegetate the upper slopes, to protect the gully and to rehabilitate vulnerable areas.
Mulberry Hill was built in the late 1920s and was the home of the noted artist Sir Daryl Lindsay and his wife Joan (author of the classic novel, Picnic at Hanging Rock)
