A short time after the outbreak of World War II, a piece of Mildura land we now recognise as the Mildura Airport was sold to the RAAF. The proposed plans for the school did not go ahead and instead 2OTU was established in 1942. On the 6th of April, 1942, 2OTU was formed at Port Pirie in South Australia.
It is with great pride and honour, the RAAF Memorial and Museum presents the collection of memorabilia to the public in the hope of sharing the stories and experiences of the men and women involved in the 2OTU, Mildura.
