Being able to sit, fairly still, for varying periods of time. Or, at least stand there. Or, at least not be disruptive. Learn a new activity, or practice a necessary skill. Transition to another exercise, which may be more difficult (or impossible), or less-preferred. Kids learn how to be kids from each other. So, children need to show and share.

Your child's IEP can include some or all of these goals: Responding to a caregiver's voice. Shifting gaze between people and objects. Recognizing and describing emotional states of self and others. Commenting to share enjoyment and interests. Understanding what others are indicating with gaze and gestures.
Limiting and controlling some of the behaviors associated with autism can help a student achieve greater stability in the classroom and at home. Common behavioral objectives of autism therapy include: Respecting boundaries and personal space. Controlling behaviors like hand flapping and rocking. Expressing frustration in a productive way.
