This is a really large area between The Royal Children's Hospital and Melbourne Zoo. There are some very large open spaces, however there are also some nice pathways with beautiful old Australian trees. The whole area is well signposted.
It's big and green and has some great trees and many friendly relaxed people walking their dogs, watching birds, etc.
Great place to go specially with kids they would enjot it at fullest
I mean it's pretty dry, definitely no Fitzroy gardens but it's good to have such a big space. I also found a dragon fly on a tree. 5 stars
Great place for active dogs with a peaceful bushy feel. Good access from North Melbourne and from Parkville. There is an all weather loop path or follow the rabbit tracks in the surrounding bush parkland. The central native grass land circle is very peaceful but dogs must be leashed to avoid disturbing the grass land critters.
