Dr Vijay Raj is a child, adolescent and general adult psychiatrist providing psychiatric care for both children and adults in northern Victoria and the bordering regions of southern New South Wales. He graduated with his medical degree from the University of Tasmania and has honed his craft in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and the Northern Territory. He is now settled with his family in Shepparton and runs outpatient clinics in Shepparton, Echuca and Wangaratta. He also provides inpatient psychiatric care at the Sherbourne Clinic in Shepparton Private Hospital. Dr Raj believes that quality psychiatric care must begin first from having a proper understanding of the patient's illnesses and the contributing biological, psychological and other environmental influences. He also employs the latest technologies in providing care for his patients that is uniquely tailored to their needs. This includes the large armoury of psychological therapies, medications, and the latest brain stimulation treatments including tDCS, rTMS and ECT.
