This is the story of the making of the C J La Trobe statue by Peter Corlett, cast by Peter Morley, and erected on the lawn of the forecourt at State Library Victoria. The 75 page hard-covered book is lavishly illustrated with beautiful, coloured photographs by Susan Gordon-Brown and well-researched text by John Drury.
The C J La Trobe Society Inc. raised the funds to erect the statue on the forecourt of the State Library Victoria. The sculpture was commissioned with Peter Corlett OAM and unveiled by our patron the then Governor of Victoria, Professor David de Kretser AC in November 2006 during the Year of La Trobe.
