Emerald Observatory is an iPad™ application which displays a variety of astronomical information. It is similar in that way to our flagship products, Emerald Chronometer ® and Emerald Chronometer HD, but designed from the start to take advantage of the iPad's larger display. Much of the supporting technology, including NTP (atomic time) and the highly accurate astronomical algorithms, was derived from Emerald Chronometer.

Our permanent staff are space professionals and have space industry experience with the European Space Agency, the International Astronautical Federation, Universities and corporate.The observatory specializes in strategic partnerships with agency, industry and university.
Go to the Settings app, choose the Notifications item on the left side, and scroll down on the right side until you see "Observatory". Tap on it and then turn on the switch for "Sounds". That will allow the alarm sound to play even when Observatory is not active. The alarm is difficult (or impossible) to hear.
Emerald Observatory looks incredible and has more use and function than just a clock app. Emerald Observatory's main function is to present astronomical information to the user in a great-looking interface. Sure, it works as a clock, but it provides significantly more information than that. It provides some great information about the moon.
