Marine rescue incidents at Bridport, Longford and Tamar River

During this rescue a SLSC vessel was launched at Mill Dam Road near Longford to search for the four kayakers. All four were located a short time later about 1km downstream from Mill Dam Reserve. All were returned to shore along with their kayaks safe and well.

Balfour coast walk, Shapinsay (Walkhighlands)

The return is along a minor road, visiting a hide overlooking the RSPB's Mill Dam reserve. This walk should not be attempted at high tide. About half way back is a parking area for the Mill Loch RSPB reserve on the left - head through this to visit an excellent hide overlooking the loch.
