The Trowutta Arch State Reserve is a beautiful area of luscious Tasmanian rainforest. The main attraction, named the Trowutta Arch, is a giant rock arch which appears like a shallow cave with an opening at either side. There is a piece of water with a green appearance and a beautiful surrounding of natural rainforest. Image source: Off the Path.
Trowutta Arch is a hidden delight just 10 kilometres from Trowutta, which is 25 kilometres inland from Smithton in Tasmania's far north west. To be honest I'd never heard of Trowutta Arch until just a couple of years ago, despite spending the majority of my life living in north west Tasmania. This is the joy of discovery in Tasmania.

Trowutta Arch was formed when caves collapsed on either side of the large natural arch bridge. There are now two large ground depressions (dolines) which can be seen on either side of Trowutta Arch. One depression is dry and full of trees and ferns and in the other depression is a sinkhole, filled with water.
