Cape Gantheaume Conservation Park is located 40km south west of Kingscote, on Kangaroo Island. Access is via Birchmore Road for the Murray Lagoon section and Elsegood Road or D'Estrees Bay Road for the coastal section of the park.
Who to contact: Parks SA (08) 8553 4444. This campsite is located in Cape Gantheaume Conservation Park. This vast chunk of coastal heath, dune hollows and mallee is mostly untracked wilderness. Coastal headlands and beaches overlook D'Estrees Bay, while experienced bushwalkers occasionally trek to the cape itself.

Once on the island Cape Gantheaume Conservation Park is located 40km south west of Kingscote. Access is via Birchmore Road. Please note: GPS Co-Ordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the National Park entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds.
CAPE GANTHEAUME CONSERVATION PARK. Leaving the sealed road just past Prospect Hill you can take the gravel road south and explore Cape Gantheaume Conservation Park. Here you will find an unspoilt wilderness coastline with many bays and beaches. There are great opportunities to swim, fish, surf or just relax.
Track closure in Cape Gantheaume Conservation Park. January 2018. Cape Gantheaume Conservation Park Murray Lagoon Track Status. Due to significant rainfall events last year, the Timber Creek Walk is inaccessible due to flooding and is closed.
