HONEST Mechanic.
KJ Engineering serviced my car for a very good price and the best part was they did all that they needed to without trying to upsell me or get more money out of me.
I was desperate to get my car looked at and really struggled with the other mechanics in Adelaide. It is my first car so I am totally ignorant. I visited a bunch of other mechanics and they were generally trying to con me out of money. Here is what other mechanics told me:
1) I request a transmission oil change, supplying the oil. The mechanic says they can not do that until next week but today are happy to do a transmission oil flush/clean for $250. This is a rip off and totally unneccesary for my $1000 car.
2) A mechanic tells me that there is no problem with engine, but wait there is a funny sound and I will not be able to complete my long journey without buying this special engine oil.
3) I ask for a few things specific things looked at, Mechanics cannot possibly do that today, maybe they can do a booking for some vague date in future, even though they are sat around doing nothing.
KJ Engineering also gave me great maintainence tips to prolong the life of my older vehicle. I recommend this business to anyone.
