Atop the spectacular Port Willunga ('Willy') clifftops, the Star of Greece has been a staple in South Australia's Fleurieu Peninsula for over 20 years. Named Star of Greece after a ship which sunk in the waters just out front of the restaurant in 1888, the little seaman's cottage has undergone a number of makeovers over the years.

Star of Greece. A made-over shed perhaps, with corrugated-iron and wooded walls, a cosy mix of modern art and old photos adorning them. Tables and chairs jam tightly in the main dining room and an outside deck under shade, where the view over Gulf St Vincent is mesmerising.
The Star of Greece Restaurant is a charming 1950's kiosk perched on the top of the cliff with stunning views of the summer turquoise waters of Gulf St. Vincent and the coastline of Port Willunga. Reservations for the restaurant are highly recommended. The kiosk attached to the Star of Greece is equally in tune with its setting.

It might be a simple shack perched atop Port Willunga's dramatic sandstone cliffs, but the Star of Greece offers more than just flash fish and chips against an idyllic coastal backdrop. Seafood is the core of the menu, with pan-fried calamari strips and beer-battered King George whiting fillets remaining longtime favourites.
It's a spectacular beachfront restaurant with a stunning view out of over the port willunga beach. Surround along with friendly staff, Star of Greece offers a fabulous menu with much selection of seafood dishes.

New owners saw the potential and renovated the venue into a five star restaurant. New renovations in 2015 have allowed more dining space with a big new deck area overlooking the coast. The Star of Greece is the name of a ship that came to grief in Port Willunga in July 1888, as she set off for Great Britain with her cargo of wheat.
