Owned by David Pridmore, the Sylvan Springs Estates Vineyard is named after the old family homestead 'Sylvan Park'. Spread over 45 hectares Sylvan Springs Estates consists of a wide range of grape varieties including but not limited to Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Merlot, Montepulciano and 40 year old Grenache Vines.
Sylvan Springs was established by the Pridmore family, whose involvement in grapegrowing and winemaking in McLaren Vale goes back four generations, spanning over 100 years. Cyril Pridmore established the Wattles Winery in 1896, and purchased Sylvan Park, one of the original homesteads in the area, in 1901.
