Excellent park and play area for the kids and BBQ area. Interactive area for learning is very good. Pretty ordinary walking path with very little to look at.
I spent a peaceful day walking around on the footpath around the water and bushes. Lots of playgrounds and barbeques for public use. Public toilet available too. Perfect for a family day out on a Sunday.
Nice place to walk, jog and have quality family time. People taking their dogs for a walk please be responsible enough to collect your dog poo on the walk way. The council even provides you with the litter bags.
A great place to walk and the playground was awesome! My son LOVED the zip liner and the exercise stations throughout. Tad bit scary for foreigners that there was a red bellied black snake seen near the playground, but that's part of Australia's adventurous charm.
Berrinba Wetlands is a reclaimed reserve that was previously a dump site. It has been redone very successfully. There is an interactive station showing videos and pictures showing how the place came to be. This station is built in a large covered deck area which can be rented out for functions. Every Saturday morning, there is a very lovely Christian band there singing and ministering to all the park goers. The singers sing beautifully. The Wetlands consists of a few lakes, with lots of tracks winding through it for walking and bike riding. Every Saturday morning, there's at least one walking group that have walking trips through the entire park. The Wetlands also have quite a few exercise equipments/stations dotted throughout the park. There's also 2 large playgrounds - one for smaller kids. There's also a flying fox for the bigger kids. Next to these playgrounds are the covered bbq pits, making it really easy for adults to watch the kids play while they cook/eat/chat. It would be great if there were better signs to direct back to the interactive station where the toilets and water fountains are. Also, a couple more water fountains throughout the park would also be great.
