  Very helpful staff that assist you and take you where you need to go. Thank god for the floating helpers of gold coast hospital. You made my life easier on a day both my parents were in emergency after a horrific car accident, carnt thank the lady that helped my young son in his wheelchair and I on this very upsetting day. Your very valuable to the hospital I hope they appreciate you as much as I did this day . God bless you and thanks again.

  Only thing not positive I've to say here re the food,but as a public hospital you need to expect that to be the case usually in my vast experience having never been able to go through a private hospital. I've had several operations & a baby here & most of the staff were all good(pleasant surprise as @ Tweed & the old G.C hospital that's not the case). Facilities great as got a room on my own in thew maternity ward(never had that before) & this included a shower & a television. The "upgrade" making this new university hospital I wasn't sure about until I went there but now thankfully I can confirm for any other past patients of the old Southport hospital same as myself had bad experiences there this new hospital's a vast improvement! So they came through & us patients get better treatment that we deserve & can't help not being able to afford private health care.

  A few days ago my husband was taken to GCUH emergency. The calm efficiency and genuine friendliness shown to us at the time made us feel that John really was in the hands of professionals who are committed to the well-being and recovery of their patients. They, along with the ambulance medics, all deserve the highest praise and respect possible. Thank you to all the medical staff who devote their lives to helping others, we really appreciate your efforts.

  Not many are in a position to share this.. but I am mentally ill and the staff at this hospital have been great in dealing with me with a physical condition I have been going there for. I don't think they are aware of my mental condition because even those that are aware, I manage to underplay it and so none really know the extent of it all ...
  
  ... and so despite the staff having had no reasoning for my behavior at times they dealt with me as best they could and managed me well ... I just want to say thanks for this.

  I was admitted to the gold coast university hospital recently to undergo a major operation I cannot fault the hospital every staff member were so polite and caring and treated me with compassion and respect
  the doctors were wonderful the nursing staff all brilliant.... the porters catering the cleaners every single person that I came in contact with from my admission to discharge well fantastic I cannot thank everyone enough for there help. once again thank you
