Love this place!
Incredible food it takes me back to my travels, great service and good atmosphere.
Stoked to have a taste of Filo food up in Glady! True to its name, Bahay Kubo (translates to a native hut) brought me back home. The juicy pork siomai (dumplings) and sizzling pork sisig complimented the cold bottle of Red Horse Beer. Bulalo (beef stew) was served warm and was begging to pair with rice but we were more than happy to oblige. My boyfriend reckons that adobo is always an awesome choice, and as a bona fide foodie and Filo, I approve. Halo-halo and leche flan are the crowd pleasers when it comes to dessert. However, for variety’s sake, we had turon and peach float, which didn’t disappoint. Staff were friendly and prompt too. One point of improvement: the beverage menu needs to reflect the updated cost. Zombie was good though. 😉
I went for dinner with my son last night and was really pleased to find Filipino people cooking popular Filipino food, it was a great experience to be able to eat delicious food typical of that country. We had delicious entree of siomay (dumplings) and a spiced but not hot calamari and they were delicious. Mains were a traditional pork dish on a hot plate and the other was a pork stew with tender pork belly and potatoes. Both were absolutely delicious and traditionally flavoured. We drank Red Horse beer, a delicious crisp beer. Staff were friendly, helpful and thr restaurant had a relaxed feel.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes to try new food or is interested to try typical Filipino food. Especially now when travel is restricted.
Good food and terrific service. We found this new restobar by mistake and very happy we did. We arrived just before they open for lunch but let us in anyway. Our food arrived not long after. We will definitely call in again when we're in Gladstone.
