The Elizabeth Guzsely Gallery features art by Cooktown_Art members and holds an Annual Art Exhibition mid year with sponsored art awards.
The Elizabeth Guzsely Gallery is home to the Cooktown School of Art which formed in 1978 by a group of people looking to improve their skills. The Gallery, built in 1988, was named in 1998 in honour of late member Guzsely in recognition of her legacy.

The object of the society is to associate with other artists and those interested in art or the appreciation of art through lectures, field days, workshops and exhibitions. We are dedicated to the promotion of fine arts in Cooktown and surrounds.
