  I came across this review as I was looking for a job in Cairns and searching workshops. As a mechanic, manager and small business owner, I agree 100% with the workshop that fitting customer supplied parts is a pain in the arse. 95% of the time the supplied part is wrong, or doesn't fit 100% and then the workshop has to deal with the issue. Another factor is, even though the customer has supplied the part, the person fitting it is lugged with the warranty regardless if they supplied the part or not, so why would a workshop want to deal with that. It's customer's like you who purchase their "cheap" parts off of gumtree or eBay to save a dollar, that end up ruining the industry. I wouldn't go to a doctor with a new Hip and ask them to fit it, but I bet you would.
