Boat Harbour Beach is a 1hr drive (80km) west of Devonport and a 2hr drive (176km) north-west of Launceston. Insider tip. The main Boat Harbour beach (NSW 234) is located at the western end of the 500 m deep embayment. It is a curving 200 m long sandy beach that faces east out towards the bay entrance. Waves are lowered to less than 1 m at the shore, where they combine with the fine sand to maintain a low gradient reflective to low tide terrace beach (Fig. 4.137).

Very boring, however it is a great place to go for a swim.
