The caves are open 7 days a week (closed Christmas day). Guided tours operate at 10.30am, 11.45am, 1.45pm & 3pm, during Summer (between October and June long weekend) and 11am, 1pm and 3pm during Winter. Exploring the Caves 1. South Glory Cave There is a pleasant walk (it was built by one man, Anthony Bradley, in 1907) to the Glory Hole, a huge cave with a gaping arch facing the Yarrangobilly river. The tour of the cave is self-guided, allowing the visitor to mooch through the caverns reading the plaques and inspecting the formations.

The Jersey Cave. The Jersey Cave is one of the most popular guided tours at Yarrangobilly. The cave is 135 metres long, has 217 steps, and is noted for its grey and black flowstone and its famous Cleopatra's Needle stalagmite. It is estimated that the formations have been developing for the past 745,000 years old.
