These internationally significant rainforests have an outstanding diversity of native plants and animals including many rare and threatened species.

Description. A sunny, well-grassed clearing at Peacock Creek makes this campground an ideal spot for camper trailers, caravans or larger tents. Especially popular with families and tourists in spring, the warmer weather brings with it an abundance of wildlife to the area, seeking shelter from the heat through the creek's cool flow.
The Peacock Creek Camping Area is a great base from which to explore the Richmond Range National Park. Facilities are basic, with toilets, picnic table and fireplace. Camping, fishing, fossicking, bushwalking, caravan parks, boat ramps. For nomads in Australia, regardless of hair colour.
Toonumbar National Park, Richmond Range National Park, Mallanganee National Park and Hogarth Range Nature Reserve make up the parks and reserves of the northern Richmond Range. They are located in the north east of New South Wales, approximately 50 km west of Lismore. Kyogle and Casino to the east of the planning area are the nearest major centres.
