First remove the wiring plug, then undo and fold back the wire clip to release the bulb. Again, the bulb will only fit one way into the body of the headlight, marked by a flat side on the base of the bulb. As before, remove and replace the bulb, refit the spring clip and then the wiring plug.
The most telling sign of a bad head gasket is coolant mixing in the oil. It tends to make a peanut butter colored substance on the bottom of the dipstick. Check your oil and see if you have something like that. Finally, bad head gaskets nearly always cause compression problems in at least one cylinder.
Pull the bulb from the socket and replace it. Push a new bulb into its place, and twist the socket back into the light assembly. Push the cover into place, and replace the thumb nut and Philips screw in a clockwise direction. Close the tailgate. Open the boot lid to replace a rear indicator bulb on sedan models.
