Agree with crooko.. this place has new owners, a sterile atmosphere. The food options havent moved since, but the quality is bad. It used to be everyone's favourite, now its empty. The owners have killed it ...
Rozelle Espresso is centrally located near the Rozelle markets so is a great place to stop after your morning shop. It is a big cafe with heaps of tables and you can also reserve them. There's a play area and toys which would interest those with families. The atmosphere and decor is very kitsch which chalkboard walls and old school memorabilia.
You'll find cafe vibes and more at Rozelle Espresso. Weekend's are for morning coffees, lazy brunches and long lunches. In the heart of Rozelle, just off the main road and across from Rozelle Public School, lies Rozelle Espresso a place you can get it all.
The first thing you'll notice about Rozelle Espresso is that it's a huge 70-seater café. The proximity to Rozelle Markets ensures this big capacity is useful, "especially on weekends, when we're full and sometimes there's a queue," our friendly waitress explains.
Housed in what was previously both a Coles and an About Life store at the top end of Darling Street, Rozelle Espresso was a sight for sore eyes when it opened in 2009 as one of the larger spaces in the neighbourhood.
All in all, Rozelle Espresso is a solid spot for brunch catch ups - with plenty of seating and many breakfast and lunch classics on offer, at a decent price point for the serving sizes. Rozelle Espresso falls right into this category. As we settled into the light and airy dining room, we were immediately aware of one obvious Feature - family friendly. Children are well catered for at with a play area (and menu) to occupy them whilst parents get stuck into brunch; this is clearly a selling point that suits the area.
