Nice little getaway. The man who looked after us was a pleasure to deal with, was tempted to buy him a drink and hang out, but we went with a tip instead😄
We had a good time at Loxley. They were exceptional in looking after us.
I cannot recommend Loxley enough! If you are looking for a wedding venue that is not only breath taking and beautiful, but the staff go above and beyond to do everything they can to make your day perfect, then Loxley is the place for you! We postponed our wedding from March 2020 to December 2020, and it was definitely a stressful time but the team at Loxley were just absolutely amazing every single step of the way. Sonia, Brittnee and Aliya (and the rest of the team) were so helpful and kept in touch with us the entire time. We had a million questions and they would always get back to us quickly and were happy to answer any questions we had! We seriously cannot thank they team at Loxley enough for all of their help and support. Loxley as the very first venue we looked at 2 year ago when we got engaged, and we knew from that first visit this was the venue for us! If I could give them more than 5 stars I absolutely would :) we had so many of our guests praise them and say how lovely the staff were! thank you guys for making our special day absolutely perfect!
Had our wedding here two years back.
Views were lovely and organising the wedding was simple enough.
The wedding meal was delicious and they took care of our cake in the kitchen and served it to the guests. Room was comfortable but that’s where the positive notes ended.
Breakfast was average.
We had to chase our bridal room food up twice throughout the day.
The receptionist showed up an hour late so we had to start my make up outside on the balcony until she could get out of bed and to the venue. It was a rainy day and this was not fun.
The bar staff at the wedding were completely rude and as the bride I only had 3 drinks over the space of the entire wedding which was annoying, they also forgot to update the special drinks to our cocktails and used the previous wedding guests drinks and names on the board!!!
The previous weddings specials included food colourings which my maid of honour was allergic to and she had to leave the wedding early as a result.
Completely unapologetic when we tried to let them know, told us ‘well that part of the evenings almost over now, why don’t you just go take some photos and come back to the upstairs bar later’....
When we did go upstairs the signs there also showed for ‘Morgan and Anna’ or whatever the hell their names were....RUDE!
We weren’t allowed to use our whole bar tab which was paid for in advance and then had to wait 9 whole months to get our holding deposit and unused tab back - after several requests it was finally refunded.
Our guests look Indian but are actually all born in the USA and Australia and we were quite offended when the musician Loxley provided in their package ignored our playlist songs and played some random Indian music in a language we don’t speak and that belongs to a particular caste of which we don’t belong. A little cultural sensitivity training, or sticking to the list of music provided would have gone a long way to avoiding this awkward situation.
I’ve been there for my honeymoon and we had a great experience!
The room was sparkling clean, beds were comfortable, lounge at chalet is very nice and well set, amazing view, aircon/heater, fireplace (you might need to find some twigs to turn it on, but it’s very easy as there’s green all around), beautiful pool and garden.
The brekky was served in our room and the food was Ok, but it would be better if I could choose the time of my breakfast (as I wake up around 7/8am and food was served just at 9:30, I was already starving when it came), also about brekky no food options (you eat what they bring).
