Making magic is doubly hard when you're designing a restaurant inside a shopping centre, but by importing a waterfront Thai house (which was slated for demolition) piece by piece in a shipping container, Senyai have done just that.

Senyai - Thai: "A Cut Above Your Average Thai" One evening I had a sudden urge for Thai food but didn't want to walk or travel too far from my hotel ( The Grace ) in the centre of Sydney. Well, here we have hoi lai pad namprik pao (22). Another verbal mouthful but all it is is a decent quantity of these sweet little molluscs stir-fried ...
It's a cosy venue with an authentic feel and an expansive menu, and is another sign of good things to come at Regent Place. Senyai 486 Kent Street, Regent Place, Sydney (02) 9283 8686
Senyai is an interesting spot for a quick bite, especially for fans of Thai food who are looking for dishes that are a bit different from the usual formula of "pick your meat, noodles and sauce" which many Thai restaurants seem to operate by.
