Kookaburra Retreat has a beautiful backyard for the kids to play in. There is also a crèche available for the morning at a small cost (9.30am-12.20pm). Spaces are limited and bookings are required. Shoalhaven Defence Families Association. The Shoalhaven Defence Families Association is a volunteer group made up of predominantly Defence partners. They conduct regular activities at their neighbourhood house, 'Kookaburra Retreat', four days per week during NSW school terms. These activities include a Playgroup, craft group and other activities.
